Wednesdays: July 29th - September 2nd, 6:30 - 9pm
Handbuilding is the practice of creating ceramic forms without the pottery wheel. Instead, forms are shaped using your hands and simple tools. Handbuilding is an ancient practice that humans have used to create vessels for nearly 20,000 years.
In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of handbuilding and multiple techniques for doing so. You will also learn various surface design techniques to further express your creativity on your handbuilt works!
Clay, glazes, and kiln firings are included. At no additional cost, students can also book one day of open studio per week, during which they can work independently. All students must provide their own set of tools to use at the studio.
No experience is necessary to join this course!
Early bird pricing ends on June 12th at 10am.
Taxes and credit card fees are calculated at checkout. All classes and sales are non-refundable nor exchangeable.
