Lamp Building 3-Part Class (Thursdays, June 26th, July 3rd, and July 10th)

$212.50

This three-part weekly class will take place on Thursdays—June 26th, July 3rd, and July 10th. We’ll spend the first two weeks building our lamps and the last week glazing. No pottery experience necessary.

We will learn how to coil and make slabs to create a lamp. If you have wheel throwing experience, you can make your lamp on the wheel ,but there will be no throwing lessons. There will be basic wiring instructions on how to put together the hardware. We’ll discuss what kind of hardware to buy to best match your lamp. We will talk about specifications to be aware of when planning on how to build the lamp base, as well as simple ideas on making a lamp shade.
