Continuing wheel is designing for those who have some ceramics experiences and are looking take their wheel throwing skills to the next level. This class is ideal for anyone who has taken at least one multi-week beginner wheel class, but is also suitable for more experienced potters looking to learn new techniques. Topics covered in class include, but are not limited to:

  • Throwing off the hump

  • Making consistent sets

  • Throwing with new clay bodies, such as Porcelain or Oregon Brown

  • Throwing lidded forms

  • Throwing bottle shapes

  • Altered forms

The class structure is designed with flexibility in mind, and students are encouraged to suggest skills they’d like to learn and practice!

Clay, glazes, and kiln firings are included. At no additional cost, students can also book one day of open studio per week, during which they can work independently. All students must provide their own set of tools to use at the studio.
