Beginner Wheel Throwing (Winter - 6 Weeks)

Early-bird pricing will end at November 21st at 10am.

This class is for those who would like to learn or reacquaint themselves with the fundamentals of wheel throwing techniques. No prior experience is necessary. Demonstrations are given at the beginning of each class, and instruction is catered to what people in the group wish to learn and create. But, in general, students will learn how to:

• center clay

• throw various functional forms such as cups, bowls, and vases

• trim leather-hard pots

• pull and attach handles

• apply slips, underglazes, and glazes for different surface decoration effects

Any classes over 8 students will have both an instructor and assistant. Clay, glazes, and kiln firings are included, but students should have their own basic set of pottery tools. At no additional cost, students can also book one day of open studio per week, during which they can work independently.

Sales tax is calculated and added at checkout.

All classes and sales are non-refundable nor exchangeable.
